“Root I. Grow I. Grow I.” -Little Girl in Tomato Plant Girl
These are the last words spoken by Little Girl in the play Tomato Plant Girl being produced by Childsplay Theatre Company. Watched the final dress rehearsal yesterday and was so impressed with the vision and evolution of this production. What a joy to have been a part of it (sound design), and witnessed the process. This play shows the journey of Little Girl accepting and celebrating herself as she is and discovering true friendship, despite the societal boundaries placed upon her. The cast is made up of three fantastic actors (Yolanda London, Jodie Weiss, Elizabeth Polan) and tours Ariozna schools from now through May with a run at the Tempe Center for the Arts April 10-18. Not to be missed!
